Joseph McCarty was a pioneer from New York State who, in 1834, set out to find an ideal place for a new community. When he reached Fox Valley, he knew he found his paradise. Three short years later, when a Post Office was established, the village became Aurora, goddess of the dawn. Later, when the city was the first in the United States to use electric lights for publicly lighting the entire city, it was awarded the nickname “City of Lights.” Today, Aurora, Illinois is a suburb of Chicago and has steadily grown throughout the years to become the second largest city in the state. As the city celebrates its 175th anniversary, the residents are excited about what’s still to come as the city continues to prosper.
We’re thrilled to announce that one upcoming addition to the city will be our newest Nextage Realty franchise office, Nextage Realty Solutions. The new office will be located at 3933 75th Street, Aurora, IL 69594. Congratulations to our proud owners, Mark Whittington, Mike Kleinstub and Jeff Jewell.
Mark, Mike and Jeff, we wish you all the best as you introduce Nextage Realty to the town of Aurora. We’re excited to have you on our team and look forward to celebrating your great success.
Bounded by the Occoquan and Potomac rivers, Woodbridge, Virginia is located 20 miles south of Washington, D.C. In the mid-1980s, when it was a municipality composed largely of either farms or industrial complexes, Woodbridge experienced a development boom which continues into the present day.
It’s home to the Potomac Mills Mall, one of the largest shopping centers in northern Virginia, the Northern Virginia Royals soccer club and the Potomac Nationals minor league baseball club.
Congratulations to our newest franchisee, Nakita Mattocks, who is the proud owner of Nextage Capitol Realty. The new office is located at 13190 Centerpoint Way, Suite 202, Woodbridge, VA 22193. You may contact Nakita at 703-670-6443 or via email at Nakita@NextageRealty.com.
Welcome to the team, Nakita. We wish you all the best with your new office and look forward to celebrating your great success.
Recruiting experienced real estate professionals is an important part of any real estate office’s business plan. What are experienced agents looking for…commission split? Agents are really looking for leadership and value. The only time that commission split and fees don’t work for an agent is when they are getting nothing in return from their broker. A strong training program certainly provides value.
How can you get in front of experienced agents and give them an opportunity to learn about your training, leadership and coaching skills? These are the major reasons an agent will join your company. What about hosting a training event for agents in your marketplace? Have your broker, members of your team or even an industry expert conduct a training session at your office, a local restaurant or a local hotel.
The residents of Minneapolis, Minnesota love the outdoors
so it was no surprise that the city was named by the American Fitness Index as the “Fittest City in America.” Lakes galore, the most bike-friendly city in the nation, a park every six blocks and four professional sports teams guarantee an active lifestyle. The downtown Metrodome, home to the Minnesota Vikings, is the only stadium in the country to have hosted a Major League Baseball All-Star Game, the Super Bowl, the World Series and the NCAA Basketball Men’s Final Four. Runners, walkers, inline-skaters, coed volleyball teams and touch football teams all have access to “The Dome.” Events from sports to concerts, community activities, religious activities, and trade shows are held more than three hundred days per year, making the facility one of the most versatile stadiums in the world.
Are you like most people…you’ve set goals for 2012 to be your best year ever?
Did you write down a list of all of the things that you are going to accomplish? It’s the last week of March already and how many of the items on that list are completed?
It’s human nature to procrastinate and make excuses about why goals are not reached. Many of us keep lists and promise ourselves that we will begin to cross items off and start making progress, but it continues to get put off. Trying to hold yourself accountable simply does not work. Welcome to Nextage Nation! We’re excited to launch this blog as a place to share our company culture, celebrate our success stories and share best practices. With years of experience under our belt, it’s clear to see that today’s real estate model is broken. It may have worked beautifully in the past, but as times change, so must we. At Nextage Realty, we’re taking the Power of WE® to a new level as we set new expectations, new standards and a new way of building business.
Many large real estate companies are struggling to add new offices, to keep existing offices open and to find creative ways to retain their agents. On the flip side, agents are making less money than they have in past years, are looking for other income opportunities or are simply leaving the industry. Smaller brokers cannot survive because they’re losing agents and they can’t close enough transactions to keep the doors open.
In today’s marketplace, both agents and brokers need to work with a company that puts the consumer first, promotes teamwork, and allows agents to build a real estate business without limitations. Nextage Realty International, LLC is leading the way by providing a solution that gives broker/owners a system that helps both recruit and retain agents and allows agents to build a business that does not rely exclusively on their personal production. At Nextage Realty, it’s about “building a business, not just doing business®.”
Join us as we usher the real estate industry into its next era, the WE world of real estate!
